Back from Vacation!!

To my angel bebe,

It seems like it has been forever since I have written to you! (probably because it has been..) Your daddy and I went on vacation to the beach! (Don't worry, you'll get plenty of details as you read on...) The beach was super fun. The weather turned out to be pretty great - with the exception of a few morning and afternoon thunderstorms. We spent a lot of time at the beach or at the pool, and of course your Memzie made tons of yummy food that we ate a lot of too! Other than relaxing on the beach or the pool, we didn't do a whole lot which was nice! Your mommy and daddy really needed some relaxing time - what was my favorite part you ask? Walking on the beach with your daddy and fantasizing about you!! We love you so much already little peanut.

Here are some pictures for you bebe! Enjoy!

US on the beach on our first full day. Don't worry, we wore lots and lots of sunscreen! (I'm sure you are laughing at that because I KNOW I will coat you with so much sunscreen and you'll get sooo annoyed. Every 30 minutes!)

This is my nana, which makes her your great-nana. She is the most wonderful, caring, funniest nana in the whole world! She is very special to your mommy and she can't wait until you are here!!! We took this picture with mommies snapchat app (hmm...I wonder if by the time you read this if snapchat will have been just a distant memory and long forgotten app!) and we were laughing SO hard at the silliness!

This is daddy with your cousin Cambri. She is so much fun! She loves to play, talk, and get her hands on any and everything! She will be the perfect play partner for you one day peanut!

Mommy got some Cambri love too! She sure did HATE the water at first. But, we eased her in and she ended up loving it when it wasn't too cold for her widdle toesies. (It took ALL of us to get her in that pool at one point, hehe!) It caused your daddy and I to wonder if you will hate water too! We sure hope not.

This is your cousin Bren with daddy! That little youngin' forgot his sandals and the pavement was way too hot. Your daddy came to the rescue and carried B-man to the beach. hehe! Daddy is always coming to the rescue! How blessed are we? ;) LOTS!

My (well, OUR) sweet nana with Cam! Two pretty girls sitting by the pool.

Mommy, daddy, and baby Cambri. Nakey baby loved the water!!!

Your aunt 'manda, cousin Cambri, and cousin Brendan all at the beach for the Fourth of July, 2016

Mommy with your uncle John! Be ready for this one peanut, because he sure is ready for you!

We can't wait to include you in these pictures sweet one! You are so loved and wanted by everyone!!!

Mommy

VACATION!!

To my angel baby,

As I sit on the couch drinking coffee from my favorite cup (it's an Ariel cup. Whether you are a boy or a girl you will know of your mommies crazy obsession with all things Disney.. especially Ariel ) I couldn't help but want to write to you!

Since writing you last things have been pretty steady. Your daddy and I have been reviewing all of our IVF information that our doctor gave us. We also began doing some "tiny" planning for you already! Your daddy got a new car which we're calling his "DAD MOBILE" (when you're old enough he can tell you what he reeeeeeeally calls it!) and right now your daddy is out on a job interview. Your mommy and daddy are both teachers but your daddy is SUPER smart and has an opportunity to branch out into a bit of a different field. Fingers and toes are crossed for daddy!!!

Well tiny love, your mommy and daddy are off to vacation today! I promise to take many pictures of your family to show you. My mom (your Memzie as she would like for you to call her) lives at the beach. How cool is that?? You will have to be a little beach bum, totally duuuude! (or duuuuuudette!) - have you figured out that I'm not just a regular mom? I'm a cool mom! ;)

Also at the beach will be one of your grandpas! (You have 3 !! ) , your uncle John, aunt Amanda, your cousin Brenden, and cousin Cambri. Don't worry, I will provide many pictures for you baby! We just can't wait to get you here to meet everyone!!

Your mommy and daddy love you SO much already!

xox,
Mommy

Our IVF Journey Begins

To my angel baby,

The idea to write you letters came to me from a blog I read of a couple having difficulty getting pregnant. She wrote great advice, sweet thoughts, and I thought of you each time! One day when you're older I will give you all of the letters so you will know how love and wanted you were before you even got here!

So... here it is...our IVF journey began today!

We left the house an hour before our appointment. Your daddy and I wanted to make sure we were there early! (You probably know by now that we are sticklers for being on time.) We pulled in and took our first "day 1 selfie!!!" You can see in the picture how excited our smiles are. We went up to the second floor to check in and we anxiously waited for our names to be called. While we were waiting a man was in the lobby holding a baby. She was giggly, smiley, and at one point had the sweetest little hiccups. I sat there and pictures that being you in our arms. It was a sweet little fantasy which passed the time before our names were finally called.

We went back to see our doctor and talk in his office (Doctor Whelan). He started to tell us that we are a case of unexplained infertility. Your daddies "swimmers" are strong and has a lot of them! Your mommy has great eggs and a healthy belly for a baby to be. However, mommy has tubes that are being stubborn. They just don't want to help the egg and swimmers meet up. So, after many big words and lots of head nods, we decided on the IVF process.

We met our team of nurses who seemed so happy and excited for us! We learned a lot about this process and your daddy handled it all very well. (especially the part when the nurse told your daddy that some of the meds would make me a mood swinging looney-toon.) After a presentation and a LOT of information, we had to give some blood. Just one of the many blood samples we will have to give up. (But, who cares? You will be so worth it!) Then we sat with a financial person to give us our big fat bill for this procedure. (Your daddy is so good with numbers! I already wonder if you'll be great at math like he is..your daddy has it all worked out and isn't the least bit stressed about making it all work!)

We finally left after about 3 hours in the doctors office. Our hearts were excited but our bellies were empty. (We hadn't eaten a thing all day!) We left the doctor's office and went to The Cheesecake Factory. We chowed down on pizza, salad, and cheesecake. We talked about all of the paperwork that was given to us and of course, we talked about YOU!

We are so excited to have YOU with us and not just the thought and ideas of you! For now, the thoughts and ideas are what we have as we begin this process.

We love you so much already.

xox,
Mommy

Here are some pictures from our day at the doctor's office and lunch!
Do you see how big our smiles are little one??? We are beyond excited to get this process started. We are one step closer to meeting YOU!

REACH is our doctor's office where your mommy and daddy will spend a lot of time! You're worth every second though.
We were meeting with one of the nurses and receiving tons of information about how we were going to start our process. The very sweet nurse told me that I needed to drink a lot of water and stay hydrated. She said "you're drinking water now so that won't be a problem for you!" Hmmmm, between me and you little one, this was full of coffee!!! (Mommy LOVES coffee)
Daddy had to get some blood drawn today too!

These pens made your mommy so happy and giggle a lot! They are pens with eggs and little "Swimmers" in there ... (man, by the time you are reading these letters we will definitely have had to have the "birds and the bees" talk. If you are a boy, daddy will handle that conversation!)

Smile daddy!!

Mmmmm it was lunch time! Both your mommy and daddy chowed down on pizza and salad... (we LOVE pizza!)
